Marriott opens new hotels in Sweden
The american hotel chain Marriott, is investing in Scandinavia. During 2009/2010 two new Marriott hotels will open in Sweden. Before 2013, an additional 15-25 new hotels will open in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
Marriott's is investing in the Scandinavian hotel market in cooperation with Scandinavian Hospitality Group (SHG). Together they are planning to build and open 15-25 new hotels in Sweden, Norway and Finland until 2013. The new hotels will be branded Marriott, Renaissance and Courtyard and Marriott Executive Apartments. One of them is the Courtyard by Marriott Stockholm at Kungsholmen in Stockholm, with 272 rooms.
