Stockholm in the top ten of most important destinations '10

British Airways has listed the ten most important travel destinations of 2010. Stockholm comes in eighth place and is the only Scandinavian city on the list. It is the ever-hotter eco trend that puts Stockholm on top.

- The jury's choice of Stockholm as number eight is motivated by the Swedes' willingness to invest in the environment. Stockholm has been appointed "European Green Capital 2010', and this makes the city a popular destination for eco turism," says Peter Rasmussen, Regional Commercial Manager of Northern Europe British Airways.
Cape Town, host of the Soccer World Cup is number one. Istanbul is the runner up, The city is the official Capital of Culture 2010.
